When we moved into our home last February my youngest was still in a toddler bed and my now six year old was in a twin bed that we bought the frame for $20 at Goodwill. The plan was to get him something really inexpensive at first because we knew when my youngest was ready for a big bed we would want to get them something matching and not worry about just bringing the other bed back to Goodwill. This summer after my youngest turned 3 we knew it was time to switch out the beds and for a boys’ bedroom makeover. I think it turned out SO cute and I absolutely love the buffalo check amongst the fire trucks!!
I love the simple style of this room and the clean, classic look. The black and white is a favorite of mine right now and I love how the fire trucks were added in without being too overdone. It is perfect for both my boys, and me! 
Each boy got a sign above their bed. I love the look of a single initial but since they both have a first initial that starts with “N”, I thought it would be better to do something where I spelled out their names. 
The boys were still using the changing table dresser in their room, and it was getting very crowded for the two of them, so the furniture got an update too! 
These patent prints were perfect to hang on the wall to still bring in the fire truck theme all while matching my black and white. 
I just love the back of this fire truck. “Oh Boy!” 
For perspective here is the other side of the room where the closet is and I have their book case. They have a playroom right across the hall where all the toys are housed. I love being able to keep their room neat and clean. 
Behind the door they have their hook and ladder sign that is perfect for hanging robes and coats. 
We are all so happy with their bedroom makeover!!

Absolutely adorable! I have a train quilt on my son’s bed and would love to find a train pillow like your fire truck pillows! They are the perfect decor. We definitely need some kind of hook for jackets too!
