In a medium sauce pan add 1½ cups water and the sugar. Stir together and bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile juice your lemons and lime.
When the sugar water is done simmering turn off the heat and let cool for about 15-20 minutes.
Add your lemon lime mixture to the sugar water and stir. Pour into a container to let finishing cooling in the refrigerator until you are ready to use.
When you are ready to mix up the lemonade pour the lemon/sugar mixture into a large pitcher.
Add about 7-8 cups of cold water and stir. Start with 7 cups and add more if needed depending on how sweet you like it. Enjoy!
