This skirt is actually one that has sat in my closet for years but I hardly wore it because it had a big slit up the front.  The other day I thought to try sewing it up and I feel so much more comfortable in it now!

This was a fun outfit to try mixing different patterns!

To break up some of the black and white I chose tan shoes and also a tan purse, (sorry not pictured!).  I love this big oversize shirt but I thought it definitely needed to be tucked in the front to give it some shape!

My family does do a photo shoot every November to use for Christmas cards and to document how we all grow and change every year. So I thought I would share with you a few of those pictures. I have used the same photographer for the last several years and she is amazing to work with and always seems to get the kids to smile…so that is a huge plus in my book! If you are local I totally recommend her!

Blessings on this week before Christmas!  Seriously, how did it sneak up so fast???  Last month we took our yearly family pictures so I wanted to share “what I wore” and share a few of the family pics!  

I found this dress on Groopdealz and I love the red and blue floral!

It is also sooo comfortable!  I wore a white Halftee tank top underneath to bring up the neck line a little.  If you have not tried a Halftee yet you totally need to.  They are great for layering when you don’t want a full tank top and also very nursing friendly!    

Every year we take our family photo shoot with my mom and sister’s family.  Coordinating outfits and getting everyone “picture ready” is a lot of work but it is so worth it to have these memories to look back on.  The above pictures were just taken by my husband, but all the below ones are from the photographer.  If you are local to the Phoenix area Amanda does an amazing job!!  Somehow even with all the stress and uncooperative kids they always seem to turn out!  And the kids always respond to her so well so such a huge bonus!  

This was the best wall, or walls, for pictures!  It can be found in Old Town Scottsdale.

So I thought it would be fun to do an outfit post since it has been a long time!  I found this shirt at Walmart the other day and I loved the color and the sleeves. It has been so warm here still but I like how this outfit can still look “fall” without being too hot.

My skirt is from Kosher Casual and my shoes are from Old Navy.  I love this skirt how it has an elastic waist band…..so comfortable! 

I am wearing a mini (XXS) flexi clip in Violet.

So what are everyone’s plans for Thanksgiving??  I would love to hear.  I always host at my house and this is the one holiday that I bring out my fine china.  I think it is so fun once a year to set up the dining room table all pretty and make it special.  I hope my kids will always look back and think of this time as a fun tradition.

Happy Fall!  We have actually been having some weather in the 80’s this past week and it feels amazing!!  It was so nice not melting going outside to take these pictures last Sunday.  I must be from AZ when 80’s and low 90’s feels like a treat!  I think I have posted me wearing all parts of this outfit before…just not together.  It seemed to work so here we go!  

My black shirt, jean shirt, and shoes are all from Target. 

My skirt has been in my closet forever and it was from Gap.  

I am wearing my hair half up in the mini (XXS) Tree of Life flexi clip.

Okay so I am going to comment on my hair here for a moment.  I kept hearing about this Mermaid Spray that so many people are using but I had not tried it yet.  The idea is to get luxurious, thicker hair, like a mermaid would have. Hmmmm???  I am pretty fortunate to have fairly thick hair already but it can still get oily after a day or two and lay more flat on my scalp.  Let’s be honest here, being a busy mom washing my hair every day, or every other day, and having the time to get it all fixed again can be tough.  It is so much easier to just put my hair up in a flexi and take a quick shower.  I don’t really like dry shampoo either, not being big on chemicals and artificial fragrance that are found in most of them.  So let me tell you…. I tried out this Mermaid Spray a couple of weeks ago and I am hooked!!  For me it has taken away the oiliness on my scalp and I only have to wash my hair every 3 or 4 days now!!  I have also already started seeing new little growth by my hairline where I didn’t even realize it had thinned!  It has also made my hair soft and given it a nice shine.  Once again I am super impressed with Young Living essential oils and I love that I am nourishing my hair with oils and ditching the toxic products!!  After I wash my hair I spray this on my roots and work it into my scalp.  Then I spray a little all over for a healthy look and shine.  Then every night on my dry hair I re-spray some on the areas that would tend to get oily to keep it oily free!  So what’s in this wonderful stuff??  Rosemary, Cedar Wood, Lavender, alcohol free witch hazel, and distilled water.

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend!  We went apple picking on Saturday and came home with 29 pounds of apples!   I know it sounds like a lot but I have already made several things with my apples and still have more favorite recipes to make!  When all else fails after a couple of weeks and they NEED to be gone I can either freeze them for later or make up another big batch of apple sauce.  This is a fun family tradition that we look forward to every year!

So, I thought it was time for a style post since it has been a long time.  It has been so hot that my daughter and I both agreed that we needed a little break (she is my photographer and suffers through the heat with me ha!)  I know after Labor Day white is kind of Taboo but I technically wore this before Labor Day because it is what I wore to church last Sunday.    Also it is still so hot here that white seems to stay around a little longer. 

My dress and navy shirt are from Target.  I added the shirt underneath to make it more modest.  My navy leggings are from Dress Barn last year.  I got them to match another dress I own so it is nice to have another option to wear with them.  My shoes are also Target.  I found them in the clearance section a few weeks ago!  

This adorable purse is from Tiny Seamstress.  I am loving this black and white!  It is the Handmade Shore Bag- Classic Style.  I had been eyeing this purse and a few weeks ago she was offering a sale so I jumped at the chance!  I follow her on Instagram and that is where she posted the sale if you are interested in keeping track for future sales.  You can just search tinyseamstress to follower her.

In my hair I am wearing one of the fun new leather 8 styles from Lilla Rose.  Last month they came out with this navy color, a pink, and a purple.  I am wearing a size medium here.
