That is so good that you are in the process of getting rid of all the toxic junk! That used to totally be me with the Lysol and Febreeze! The diffuser is great in place of Febreeze. Diffusing lemon and purification totally gets the stink out of any room! Young Living also has an amazing Thieves Cleaner and I now use it for my whole house. It kills all the germs but it is actually good to breath in and makes your house smell like fall all the time! I also have been in the process of replacing all the harmful cleaning agents in my house with more natural alternatives. The sprays are a big one as my husband is a huge fan of dousing everything with Lysol and Febreeze! We need to get this junk out of our home. Essential oils will be our next step. I originally began using essential oils in order to replace my candles and air fresheners. The one time I went back to using candles was one evening while I had company, and I got a huge headache! Essential oils and diffusing are so much better!

As someone who has asthma plus living in an RV, I have burned an occasional candle for a few photos but not often. I’ve known for myself for years that I was sensitive to candle scents and the burnt smell. I Didn’t know about the benzene and the other byproduct, ick!

My teacher at school loved to have plug in air fresheners, because of the amount of #2’s created with a room full of special ed students, but it was especially tough on me and another aide. We finally agreed on vanilla and lavender as we could tolerate those. Interesting to note the horrible chemicals that off-gas. Thanks for the heads up!

I will buy some essential oils but it’ll have to be in the future.
