Thank you for the suggestion! I will check out Horizons for Math vs the Lifepacs and see what I think!

I am a former homeschool mom, turned reading tutor (and blogger!) Both “kids” are college graduates now! If you are still looking for a math curriculum for the younger grades, we really enjoyed Horizons. My kids liked how colorful it was. Not even sure if they are still publishing it! 🙂 (We used Saxon for the older grades. I’m not sure if Teaching Textbooks existed back then.) Saxon was great though!

I used Teach Your Child to Read in 100 easy lessons. Love that book. For main curriculum we use Sonlight and then pull in Critical Thinking Company, Apologia Science books, and other things. It’s a mix but works well for us.

I am now homeschooling our three children, ages 12, 9, and 7. Unlike you, I just can’t stick with one curriculum for every year. I tend to use similar things for similar grades, just not the same thing through. 🙂 We love Teach Your Child To Read in 100 Easy Lessons and Teaching Textbooks around here, though.
