Welcome to the Friday at the Fire Station Link-Up Party!
Thank you everyone for linking up your wonderful posts! I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas! We had a great time with our usual low key day just hanging out in our PJs! For me it takes so much work to coordinate it all and get everything ready that I love just having the nice relaxing day. On Christmas Eve we tend to get more dressed up for church and then have a nice Christmas Eve dinner.
Party Rules
Please link up, directly to your post, with anything as long as it is family friendly and God-honoring, old posts and new. Some topics might include anything to do with homemaking, homeschooling, cooking, sewing, crafts, DIY Projects, house remodel, decorating, modest fashion, being a wife, mother, etc.
Don’t forget to follow me on Facebook and Twitter so I can remind you about the weekly link-up. Please leave me a comment and let me know if you follow me and I will be happy to follow you back!
Try to visit another blog or two and leave them a comment. We all love comments! I would appreciate a link back to this link-up on your post or somewhere on your blog. That is the best way to spread the word! A button to share this link-up with others can be found on the sidebar, or a text link back is fine too.
By linking up you are saying it’s ok for me, A Fireman’s Wife, to share your posts and pictures via social media, and as a feature on this blog, with an explicit link back to your original source.

Our Christmas was great but a bit odd this year; we had so much snow on Christmas day that my husband and oldest son were gone for much of it plowing. Thankfully we don’t usually have anything planned beyond opening gifts and enjoying a family brunch in our pj’s and they were around for that. The boys and I have enjoyed a whole week of nothing — just relaxing and recuperating from the holidays.

Wow, such a difference from here! I think it was 70 degrees that day! I wish we could have been a little cooler. Glad you still had a good day relaxing!

Happy New Year to you and your family {almost!}, Jennifer!!! I love that you stayed in your pj’s all day long. Over the years, we have done that several times, once especially when I had pneumonia and that year my brother did all the cooking! Many years, we get the turkey in the oven for an hour, do a quick basting at that hour when we flip it over, then take off for the movies. This year, we did just that seeing Jumanji in the evening after dinner. It was a lot of fun and it’s geared for adults and older kids. 🙂 If you haven’t seen the new Star Wars, it was good, too! Highly recommend as a fun kids movie!!! Thank you for hosting, as always.
Here’s to a wonderful 2018,
Barb 🙂

Happy New Year to you too!! We did just take my son to see Star Wars the other day and enjoyed that. Good to hear you liked Jumanji. We actually rarely go out to see movies, season of life, but I know my girls like watching the original Jumanji so we will have to watch it at some point! Thanks for always linking up and have a great week!
